Babysitter (or Provider) Appreciation Day is celebrated every year on the Friday before Mother’s Day. It’s the perfect opportunity to thank the person (or people) who take care of your children week in and week out.
We love our daycare providers. They are great with our children and treat us all like family… What more could you ask for?
To show some appreciation, we made these adorable photo bouquets as a “thank you” gift. (These would also make a great Mother’s Day gift… Hint, hint gentlemen!)
Here’s how we made ours:
First, I made a flower and leaf template. I printed the template, and cut out 12 flowers and 12 leaves. (You can download the template for free by clicking the button below.)

I also printed 12 photos of my children and cut them down to size (using the square template provided).
Next, I taped the photos to the flowers. Then, using a hot glue gun, I glued the flowers to some grilling skewers I found at the grocery store.
I wrote down some fun memories on the leaves, and glued them to the skewers as well.
While I was working on the flowers, my son painted some clay flower pots for me. When they were dry, I put a Styrofoam ball in each pot.
Then all I had to do was stick each flower into the Styrofoam ball. I tried to vary the heights and distances of each flower to make it look like a real floral arrangement.
And that was it! I made one for each of my daycare providers and I’m extremely happy with the way they turned out!
As I mentioned before, these would make great Mother’s Day gifts! Had I thought of it sooner, I would have made one for each of the Grandmas in our family (maybe next year, right?).
And don’t forget to thank your daycare providers this Friday! Happy Babysitter Appreciation Day everyone!
