Day 3 of 7 in my “Week in the Life” project. Megaphones, baking, and iPhones – oh my! A typical Wednesday in our house.
7:21AM | GOOD MORNING! A baby yelling into a megaphone is, strangely enough, pretty routine around here.
7:59AM | WASH. I usually wash our bedding every Thursday. I knew I wouldn’t have time this week, so I decided to do it today.
8:32AM | DISHES. Do they ever end? I’m very fortunate to have a husband who willingly takes on this chore!
12:05PM | VISITORS! I asked my brother-in-law, his girlfriend, and my husband to help me with a photo project over my lunch break. Thankfully they’re always up for anything!
12:39PM | LUNCH. I promised to feed my volunteers. The menu: turkey chili and garlic knots!
2:59PM | HAPPY PUMPKINS. The mail arrived. I went outside to grab it and my postal carrier commented on our pumpkins. They always make me smile!
5:02PM | DAILY PICKUP. I picked up Casey and Allison. I decided to stop in and talk to my grandparents for a few minutes. Allison was more than happy to play a little longer…
…and Casey had a lot to tell me about his day!
5:47PM | COOKIE TIME! Casey has a preschool Halloween party tomorrow, so I needed to whip up some cookies. There are a lot of advantages to being “the Farmer’s daughter”, but one of the best perks is always having farm fresh eggs on hand!
And I bought two new cookie cutters for the occasion!
7:29PM | MAKING A MESS. My daughter loves to pull all of the food out of our pantry. It happens more times than I can count. Tonight was no exception.
8:14PM | STORY TIME. Tonight we read, “Are You My Mother?” from the “Big Blue Book of Beginner Books”. It’s one of Casey’s favorites!
8:22PM | ONE LAST BITE. Casey begged to try a cookie. I wanted one myself, so of course I said, “yes”!
9:23PM | The house is finally quiet. I know I should finish up a few projects, but I’m just too tired. So I settle in on the couch and try to stay up until my husband gets home…
Spoiler alert: it doesn’t happen.
