Witch Handprint Craftivity

Witch Handprint Craftivity 01

I love making projects with my little ones that combine holidays and their handprints. Not only are they cute, but they make the perfect keepsakes!

For Halloween this year, we decided to try a handprint witch.

There are so many variations you can try – for example, you can let your little one add their handprint with paint (like my son did), or, if your little ones don’t like messes (like my daughter), you can trace their hand onto green paper and apply with glue.

Either way – the finished project is so stinkin’ cute!

Materials Needed:

  • Scissors
  • Pencil (for tracing the templates)
  • Glue
  • Construction paper (colors: yellow, orange, black, brown, purple, white, and green)
  • Black marker (optional)
  • Handprint Witch Template (if you have several children, or are a teacher and want to try this with your students, I have included a classroom set of templates to the PDF)

It took us about an hour to make two – and that was with a lot of interruptions, diaper changes, and potty breaks.

We have our handprint witches hanging on our art gallery. They always bring a smile to my face! Enjoy!
