Two weeks ago I posted a Birthday Candy Gram and I’ve gotten several requests for more templates. Well ask and you shall receive! Here is a second candy gram that reads:
{Extra}!! {Extra}!! {Extra}!! It’s your
BIRTHDAY!
You are such a {Sweetart} and
you always make us {Laffy Taff}!
We could {Orbit} around the
{Milky Way} and not find a
perfect {Lifesaver} like you!
We love you {Now and Later}!!
{Hugs} + {Kisses}, from your favorite {Sour Patch Kids}
Below are directions, a shopping list, and a free download to you to make your own!
Word to the wise: It is so much fun shopping for candy, but it can be a challenge! I’ve never been able to walk into one store and find everything I need. I usually stop at two grocery stores and find the last piece I need at a gas station somewhere… So – happy hunting!
Supplies
Here’s a list of all the supplies needed to make this candy gram. Feel free to get creative with the spaces! If you think another piece of candy would work better – go for it! (This list is interactive. You can pull up this post on your phone or tablet and cross off items as you shop!)
- White foam board (20″ x 30″)
- Birthday candy gram (click here to download)
- Tape, glue, or glue dots
- Extra gum (3 packs)
- Sweetarts
- Laffy Taffy (small)
- Orbit gum
- Milky Way
- Lifesavers (1.1-oz roll)
- Now and Later chews (8)
- Hershey Kisses (13)
- Hershey Hugs (12)
- Pick one: Sour Patch Kids, Gobstoppers, or Junior Mints (3.5-oz box) – or come up with your own!
Note: I’m always a big fan of these foam boards and I would be lost without my Glue Dots!
Directions
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – these are SO EASY (and fun!) to put together! The absolute hardest thing about making these giant candy grams is not eating the candy. Too much temptation!!
- DOWNLOAD + PRINT. First you need to download and print the candy gram. You can download the file by clicking here. Once downloaded you can print the file at Staples. They have large, black and white “Engineering prints” available for $3.59! I saved my file on a thumb drive and brought it into the store – within 5-minutes it was printed and I was on my way! (You can also print them online using the Staples website – make sure you select the 24″x30″ print.)
- CUT. Cut the candy gram out – just cut along the black and white outline!
- GLUE. Glue the candy gram onto a piece of foam board. I used Glue Dots (I LOVE GLUE DOTS!) and they worked perfectly!
- ATTACH. Attach your candy! I put a glue dot (or two) on each piece of candy and stuck it to my board. My kids loved helping with this step!
That’s it – you’re done! Don’t forget to sign your name at the bottom of the card. We like to get creative, so we added some thumbprint balloons by our names using an ink pad. (I love these ink pads – we use them all the time!)
That last thing on your “to-do” list is to give the birthday card! “Aunt Megan” loved this card from my kiddos! Grab your free download of this card here:

I downloaded and made this for my best friend – and she LOVED IT!! THANK YOU for the great freebie! I’ll definitely be using it again 🙂
It always makes my day to get your kind of feedback! Thanks for stopping by and happy creating!
